We recently worked on a sound studio in Sonoma County . We used glass with Dupont’s Sentryglas Laminated Interlayer in both the interior glass and exterior windows and doors. The interior sound studio glass consisted of 1 1/16″ and 3/4″ thick tempered laminated glass units with .060 Sentryglas Interlayers. The exterior windows and doors were Fleetwood Bronze Anodized Aluminum with Sentryglas Interlayer in laminated glass assembled into insulated units with PPG’s SolarBan 60 Lowe Tempered to meet Wildland Urban Interface Code requirements.
The hardest part of the project was getting the glass into the openings. To get the interior glass installed it required close coordination with Old Town Glass and the General Contractor’s Crew in order to move the glass into place using Forklifts, Gradalls, Man Power, and rollers to get the glass to the opening inside the building.
